Masters of the Universe Breakdown
Masters of the Universe is the classic from 1987 that is loosely based on the iconic cartoon and toy line.
This movie is considered a cult classic because it’s so bad. It could’ve been a classic classic if the studio would’ve given it a budget that it deserved instead of basing the entire movie in New Jersey
“By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!”– I’m pretty sure He-man actually says this in this movie. Wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t though.
This movie stars Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella who plays Skeletor with such passion and conviction that it just brings tears to your eyes. His performance in this movie reminds me of Raul Julia’s epic performance in Street Fighter.
